Clone Wars 3 by Theamat Clone Wars 3 by Theamat
Started playing with markers, for a cleaner style. I seem to be plagued by a fastidious nature, I really HATE pencil smudges. So, my husband recommended that I just ink my own stuff, like Mignola, one of my favorite artists. And, I love this character. He's so good at being bad!

This is from the recent Clone Wars magazine, with a positive/negative approach.

BTW - I hate sharpies, but I'm on a budget. Any suggestions?

Just one word; WOW!!! This drawing is absolutely spot on. You captured his face perfectly. It doesn't matter that it was drawn with sharpies, its still amazing. As always, good attention to detail, like with the scar over his eye. Proportions are great, but the only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't look completed. Down the bottom you can still see some pencil marks. So the only thing that I can suggest is that you either colour those bits in or rub them out completely. But since I'm critiquing you on what you've actually drawn, its 5 stars. Good luck on future creations!!! =D

I saw the picture in a magazine and took out a marker. I really liked studying clone wars, it is a very interesting style of artwork. :)

Try outlining with this,

I haven't drawn anything in at least a year, but this was always what I used and it's what a guy that I know who makes comics for a living uses. You can get it almost anywhere. Walmart, Wallgreen's, CVS, places like that.
