I got a photo of a tree, used it for reference to draw a silhouette in black and white, scanned it no photoshop, used a color replacement on just the tree to a green, then painted with other green and blue tones in a textured brush. I found a moss texture that was applied in a new layer at 10% opacity and set to multiply. When the piece was done, I changed the saturation settings until I got what you see here.

My commission information can be found in the journal section of my page, if you're interested in a Marsupilami piece.

wow really hmm does it work with other things too,just like a flower or a mountain that would be a big help for my comic:la:
hmm and yes i have read your journal,shame that i can't paid you^^;
an art trade would be another option,but i see that you are a pro and i mean a really really good pro so i won't show my terrible drawings:D

I'm sure they are not as terrible as you think! Lol.

Color replacements work on everything. If you want to look them up for tutorials, the best place would be YouTube. Type in "color replace line art photoshop". There are a few.

I really appreciate the compliment on my work, you are really sweet to say I have good work. Because I don't have a job or income right now, I really need to concentrate on paid work. My sketches are $15, it's only black and white, but I'll send you the original and a high res scan. :)

Sure. When I do a sketch, I mail the original and I scan it for you to have a digital copy at 400dpi so you can have it digitally.

For a brief time in the 1990s, Marsupilami was indeed on a Disney series. (And I forgot to add Zabu and Devil Dinosaur for the Marvel presence &_&)

But Devil Dinosaur hates monkeys; could be dicey...

This concludes your weekly obscure Nextwave reference.

Seriously, though, Thea, you've got the Disney animation style down cold -- I'd love to see what you'd do with Gargoyles sometime!

I looked up raw toonage, btw.... A bit late in my Saturday morning cartoon development. My daughter remembers it. I guess I was watching animaniacs. :)

No, actually I don't! But now that you mention it, I'll probably look it up on YouTube and get a wicked flashback. I did that earlier this week with Twinkie the Kid.
