I forgot kitty had a dragon, you never see it outside the comics so it gets hard to remember these things when you don't read the comics, but i do remember my sister showing me a picture of kitty and her dragon
Well, if you want a recommendation on the books.... Start in the middle with First Fall. Has more science in the fiction and explains how the people came to be on the planet. Then go to the first set of dragon flight, dragon quest and the white dragon. The books written by Anne herself are pretty old, but her son is continuing the series. I haven't read any of those, so I cant venture an opinion.
It was an interesting week - I did not remember how much science fiction I read as a teenager until I saw the list!
Oh, yes... they surprised me with the Snow Crash suggestions... but I was hoping a bit more variety, seems they get the same reading list in high school... (at least it wasn't like in MY high school, when every time I said I read Science Fiction, the answer was: oh, Jules Verne...)
Thanks for the recommendation... a shame they closed the Borders megastore in San Diego, I was really looking forward every year during the SDCC to a couple hours of browsing there. Oh, well, Amazon delivers.
Now I guess I should devote some time to Britta and Annie...
I remember the coverart fondly as well. Though I was always perplexed as to why the Dragonsinger trilogy depicted the fire-lizards with only four limbs (two legs two wings) instead of the six McCaffery wrote about.
